Roblox Coloring Pages

Children who play in blocky worlds are used to building things, and that is the thing to lean on when printing for them. These free printable Roblox coloring pages are drawn as places you could build: an obstacle run of spinning beams above a button pad, a tower of stacked platforms and ladders with a flag at the top, a tycoon conveyor carrying crates towards a warehouse shutter, a shop wall of hats, feathered wings and backpacks on tagged racks.

The figures themselves are simple, which is the point. A blocky avatar is a handful of rectangles, so a six-year-old can finish one properly, and the difficulty lives in the scene behind it rather than in the character.

The one trick worth teaching

A blocky figure colored in one flat tone stays flat. Colored in three, it turns solid, and children notice the difference immediately.

• Three shades of one color per block. Lightest on the top face, middle on the front, darkest on the side.
• Keep the light on the same side for every block on the page. That is the whole of it.
• The same rule works on the scenery: platforms, crates, bricks, steps. The tower sheet and the falling tiles sheet are the best ones to practice on, because every surface is a flat face.
• Faces stay simple. Two dots and a line, left as bare paper, with the head in one light tone.
• Keep one bright color for the thing that matters, the flag at the top of the tower, the ring above the trampolines, and let the rest of the page stay calmer.

Obbys, shops and jobs

The set falls into three groups, which is useful when you are printing for more than one child.

The obby sheets are the ones most children reach for: jumping the gap between two cliff blocks towards a flag, swinging on a rope over open water, crossing floating tiles while two drop away behind, bouncing off a line of trampolines, and the spinning beams. They are drawn as courses, with the route readable across the page.

The shop and avatar sheets are about choosing rather than doing: the wall of hats and wings, a figure trying a tall striped hat in a standing mirror, a blocky figure standing square on with nothing around it at all. That last one is the closest thing here to a blank avatar, and it is the sheet to print for a child who wants to design their own.

The job sheets are the quiet surprise: a baker carrying a tray of buns past shelves of loaves, a chef stirring a huge pot under a rail of hanging pans, a market trader behind three crates of fruit, a figure mowing a front lawn, a diver walking the seabed among fish.

Who each group of sheets is for

Quick to color above the grid holds the roomiest sheets, easiest first.

For a six-year-old, start there and with the single standing figure. For a nine-year-old, the obbys and the go-kart track. For anyone older, the shops.

Paper builds, badges and a course on the floor

Children who play in blocky worlds build things, so the natural end for a finished sheet is to be built with rather than pinned up.

The obby sheets do this best. Color four or five, cut them out, fold a tab at the bottom of each and stand them in a line down a corridor: the course comes off the page and onto the floor, and a child walks it. Weighted with a coin taped behind, they survive being knocked over.

The standing figure is the other useful one. Printed twice, colored front and back, glued together around a lolly stick, it becomes the avatar that walks the course. Children who would not sit still for a drawing will sit still for a character they are about to play with.

Smaller ideas: the hat and backpack sheet cut into individual items makes a set of paper stickers for a pencil case, and any figure trimmed to a circle and taped to a safety pin is a badge. The tower sheet, colored and cut into its platforms, reassembles into a real stack if you glue matchsticks between the layers.

Isometric drawing, and a useful habit

Several of these pages are drawn in a particular way that is worth naming, because it turns up in games, in technical drawing and in a lot of children's art.

It is isometric: instead of lines converging towards a vanishing point, the parallel edges of a block stay parallel on the page, running at a fixed angle. Nothing gets smaller as it goes back. That is why these scenes look like they could be measured, and why they are so satisfying to color.

The rule it creates is simple. Every surface facing the same direction gets the same tone. All the top faces in a scene are the lightest, all the front faces the medium tone, all the side faces the darkest, across the whole page, including the ground, the platforms, the crates and the figures. Keep to that and a flat drawing turns solid all at once.

The mistake is to shade each object individually, which leaves a page full of objects that do not share a light source.

For a child who builds, this is the same logic as stacking real blocks, and coloring a page this way is genuinely good practice for drawing their own.

The shop wall is the densest thing in the set: rows of hats, wings and backpacks, every one with its own tag. The ice cream counter and the bakery are close behind. A narrow palette helps, because a wall of forty separate objects in forty colors turns to noise. Pick five and repeat them.
