About these Spider-Man coloring pages
Updated October 2026
Kids ask for Spider-Man by name, and most of them spell it Spiderman. The Spider-Man coloring pages below cover both spellings and cost nothing to print, with the friendly neighborhood hero swinging over the avenues, crouching on rooftops, and sitting in a teacup with a teddy bear in his lap. The outlines are dark and clean, so crayons and fine markers both work.
Inside the collection:
- City action: swinging between skyscrapers, climbing a tower, flipping over a water tower, hanging upside down in front of a brick wall.
- Cute chibi Spider-Man, with a big head and short limbs, eating a giant donut, riding a scooter, blowing bubble gum or watering a daisy.
- Mask portraits that fill the page, one with little hearts in the corners.
- Spider-Man and Venom face to face, and Miles Morales on top of a subway train.
- Lettering pages: SPIDER MAN in bubble letters, I LOVE SPIDER MAN, LOVE and HUGS.
- Holidays from Halloween to Christmas, plus a birthday cake and an Easter basket.
Who is Spider-Man? Peter Parker and the 1962 comic
Spider-Man was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko. He first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15, dated August 1962, and the issue sold well enough for Marvel to give him his own comic, The Amazing Spider-Man, the next year.
Under the mask is Peter Parker, a high school student from Queens, New York, bitten by a radioactive spider. He gets its strength and its grip on walls, and builds his own web-shooters. What made him different from the grown-up heroes of the time was the rest of his life: homework, money worries, his Aunt May.
The line that comes with him is "with great power there must also come great responsibility". It makes a good caption for the back of a finished sheet.
Coloring the red and blue Spider-Man suit
The classic suit splits into two colors, and knowing where the line falls makes the page look right:
- Red: the whole mask, the chest and shoulders, a stripe down the outside of each arm and leg, the gloves and the boots.
- Blue: the sides of the body, the inside of the arms and the legs from hip to boot.
- Black: the web lines over every red part, and the spider emblem on the chest.
- White: the big eye lenses, outlined in black.
Getting the web lines to show
Markers bleed over thin lines, so color the red with short strokes between the web lines rather than across them. With pencils, color straight over the web lines and go back with a black pencil at the end. Either way, leave the eyes white.
A darker red or a touch of brown under the chin and along the arms makes the suit look round, which matters more on the big mask portraits than on the small figures.
Spiderman cute chibi pages or web-swinging city scenes
The collection has two moods, and children tend to pick one and stay with it.
The chibi pages draw Spider-Man small and round, with oversized eyes. He sits cross-legged with a big book, hugs a teddy bear, swings on a wooden swing hanging from a tree and takes a pizza break on a brick wall. They are close to the look of Spidey and His Amazing Friends, the Disney Junior series for preschoolers. For more giant treats, the donut coloring pages go well with the donut sheet.
The city pages are for kids who want speed. Spider-Man swings down an avenue above the traffic, crouches above a stone gargoyle, stops a car with webs stretched across the street and takes a selfie on a rooftop. The gargoyle scene sits nicely beside the rooftops of the Batman coloring pages, and young fans of street-level heroes eating pizza in New York will find more in the Ninja Turtle coloring pages.
Spider-Man and Venom coloring pages, plus Miles Morales
Venom
Venom began as the black alien suit Peter wore for a while in the 1980s. Rejected by Peter, the creature bonded with reporter Eddie Brock, and Venom made his first full appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #300 (1988).
On the rooftop sheet the two face each other. Color Venom solid black, or a very dark blue if the black would swallow the details, and keep his white spider emblem and his long white eyes untouched. His teeth stay white too.
Miles Morales
Miles Morales is the Brooklyn teenager who took the name Spider-Man in 2011, created by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. The animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) made him famous with kids.
His sheet shows him crouched on the roof of a moving subway train. His suit is black with red web lines and a red spider on the chest, so it is colored the other way round from Peter's. Use a red marker for the webs first, then fill the gaps in black.
For a child who wants to invent a hero of their own, the superhero coloring pages include a boy trying on a homemade mask in front of a mirror.
Spider-Man Christmas, Halloween and holiday sheets
Many of the seasonal pages have the greeting lettered into the picture, so they can be folded into cards.
- Halloween: Spider-Man carving a jack o'lantern, and out trick or treating in a witch hat with a pumpkin bucket full of candy. The Halloween coloring pages and pumpkin coloring pages carry on the season, and the spider coloring pages have real spiders and dewy webs for the window.
- Fall and Thanksgiving: HELLO FALL with a pumpkin among falling leaves, and THANKFUL in a pilgrim hat with a pumpkin pie, next to the Thanksgiving coloring pages.
- Spider-Man Christmas: MERRY CHRISTMAS with a present, a Santa hat and a wrapped gift, reindeer antlers by a little tree, the star going on top of the tree, and cocoa on a chimney beside a tiny spider. See also the Christmas coloring pages.
- Winter: LET IT SNOW with a snowman in a knitted hat, another snowman with a carrot nose, and COZY with a mug of cocoa. More in the snowman coloring pages.
- Easter: Spider-Man holding a basket of decorated eggs, a good partner for the Easter coloring pages.
A red suit and a red Santa hat sit side by side on the Christmas pages. Give the hat a slightly orange or deeper red so the two do not merge into one shape.
A Spider-Man birthday party with coloring pages
For a Spider-Man birthday, start with HAPPY BIRTHDAY beside a cake and candles, and Spider-Man leaning over a cake covered in candles.
- Print the birthday sheet for the guest of honor, and a mix of chibi and city pages for the others.
- Put out red, blue and black markers in the middle of the table, with a few yellow ones for the candles.
- Hang a string across the room and peg the finished pages along it like a web, then let each guest take theirs home.
The I LOVE SPIDER MAN and HUGS sheets make easy thank-you cards afterwards. Younger brothers and sisters can have cakes and balloons from the happy birthday coloring pages.
Easy Spider-Man pages for preschool, busy ones for big kids
A three-year-old wants one big shape and very little else: a mask that fills the page, a smiling portrait, or Spider-Man standing beside a snowman. The Quick to color filter gathers these wide, open drawings where one crayon can cover the whole mask:
- Mask with hearts
- Smiling mask
- Mask close-up
From about seven, children usually go for the skyline scenes, where Spider-Man is small against rows of windows, cars and water towers. Switch to Lots of detail and those crowded New York pages lead the grid:
- Climbing a skyscraper
- Street crouch
- Easter basket
The lettering pages sit between the two. Each letter is a big closed shape, and a child can switch colors on every one.
Looking for Lego Spiderman, Iron Spider or Hello Kitty and Spider-Man?
A little pencil work turns a sheet from this page into each of these.
- Iron Spider is the red and gold armor Peter wears in Avengers: Infinity War (2018). Take any action page, color the blue parts gold or yellow, and draw thin mechanical legs coming out of his back.
- Lego Spider-Man: the Lego coloring pages have a blank minifigure standing with its arms out. Color it with the suit colors above and add the spider emblem in black.
- Hello Kitty and Spider-Man: print a Spider-Man page next to one of the Hello Kitty coloring pages and color Kitty in a red and blue outfit to match.
For a child who wants other heroes too, the Wonder Woman coloring pages show her with her golden lasso, and the character coloring pages list every cartoon and film favorite on the site.
Printing a stack of Spider-Man sheets
The skylines are open line work, so a class set costs little ink. Each drawing is a free PDF, A4 size, 300 dpi. Send it to A4 paper unscaled. On US Letter, tick fit to page, otherwise the antenna of the tallest tower can drop off the top edge. For a birthday, collect the web-slinging scenes through Add to pack, which bundles them into a single download. The printing guide points to the scaling setting in the print dialog.
