Bluey Coloring Pages

Nearly every Bluey episode is built around a game, and the free Bluey coloring pages here follow the show's lead: the heelers play in the backyard, the park, the beach, the kitchen and the living room. The drawings have big figures and thick outlines. A three-year-old can manage Bluey on her own, and the full family scenes keep a seven-year-old going.

Who turns up, and what they get up to:

• Bluey on her own, blowing bubbles, kicking a soccer ball, painting at an easel, digging for worms, balancing on a log or doing a handstand against the wall.
• Bluey and Bingo together, in a fort under the table, on a scooter race, skipping rope and building a sandcastle.
• The whole heeler family, waving in the living room, flying a kite, swinging in a hammock and standing in front of the house.
• Bandit fixing a kitchen chair and carrying Bluey on his shoulders.
• Bluey's name in big bubble letters, plus short words to color: BEST FRIENDS, LOVE, BE KIND and SWEET DREAMS.
• Big face portraits of Bluey smiling, winking or cheering, filling the page.
• Holiday pages for Halloween, fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day and birthdays.

Some sheets are household jobs turned into play, like washing the car with the hose, pegging out the washing or folding the laundry. Others are pure games: playing king on a wooden throne, a tea party in sun hats, three puppies bouncing on the trampoline.

Who is Bluey? The show behind the coloring pages

Bluey is an Australian cartoon created by Joe Brumm and made by Ludo Studio in Brisbane. It first aired on ABC Kids on October 1, 2018, and the BBC handles it around the world, which is how it reached Disney Junior and Disney+ in the United States.

Bluey is a six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy with more energy than she knows what to do with. She lives with her little sister Bingo, her dad Bandit and her mom Chilli. Each short episode is built around a game the girls invent, and very often a parent gets dragged into it.

A balloon kept off the floor is pure Keepy Uppy, one of the earliest episodes, and the balloon pages in the collection make a good excuse to play it once the coloring is done.

Bluey and Bingo coloring pages for two kids at once

The Bluey and Bingo sheets are the ones parents print twice. One child takes Bluey and the other takes Bingo.

• At home: hiding in a fort under the table, skipping rope in the backyard.
• Out and about: racing scooters down the footpath, waving from the front seat of the family car.
• At the beach: building a sandcastle with palm trees and a starfish behind them.
• Thinking out loud: standing side by side in the park, an empty thought bubble above each sister.

That last sheet is worth slowing down for. Ask "what is Bingo thinking?" and let the child draw or write the answer in the bubble. It is a gentle way to talk about feelings with a child who does not say much.

On a hot afternoon, the sandcastle and the pool slide sheets sit well next to the summer coloring pages, while the beach coloring pages bring more sand, shells and waves.

Bluey lettering pages with her name and short words

Bluey waves, jumps, sits or holds up a star under her own name, BLUEY, written in hollow bubble letters, so the word gets colored like the rest of the page.

Others carry a short message: Bluey and Bingo hug under BEST FRIENDS, Bluey peeks out from behind LOVE, waves beside BE KIND, and sleeps on a crescent moon under SWEET DREAMS. That last one is a calm sheet for the half hour before bed, and the kindness page sits well on a classroom wall next to the friendship coloring pages.

Bluey family coloring pages: Bandit, Chilli and the girls

The Bluey family coloring pages are the big scenes, with all four heelers together and a house, a garden of flowers or a field of daisies behind them. They suit a child who wants the whole family, and they are good pages to share, with a parent taking Bandit while the child does Bluey.

Bandit gets sheets of his own too. He fixes a wooden chair in the kitchen, carries Bluey on his shoulders in the park and plays with the puppies beside the slide and the swings. Colored and signed, any of them makes a card for Dad, and a sheet or two of Father's Day coloring pages can go in the same envelope.

Kids who like this everyday-life side of Bluey can switch to people doing ordinary things together in the family coloring pages.

What colors are Bluey and Bingo?

The heelers follow two simple palettes, one for each kind of dog:

• Bluey and Bandit are Blue Heelers: mid blue all over, darker navy patches on the back and head, and a paler blue on the muzzle and tummy.
• Bingo and Chilli are Red Heelers: an orange-red coat with cream or light tan markings in the same places.
• Noses are dark, and the eyes are small and black.

Everything else is sky, grass, sand and wood, so a school box of crayons is enough.

A trick for young colorers

1. Color the whole dog in the light shade first.
2. Add the darker patches on top.
3. Fill the background last, in any colors the child likes.

Done in that order, a wobbly patch still looks like a patch, and the dog never ends up with white gaps.

Bluey Christmas and Halloween coloring pages

• Halloween: Bluey carving a jack o'lantern in the garden, out under a crescent moon in a pointy witch hat, sitting on a pumpkin under HAPPY HALLOWEEN, or dressed as a little ghost with a treat bucket. More costumes wait in the Halloween coloring pages, and more carving among the pumpkin coloring pages.
• Fall and Thanksgiving: Bluey hugs a pumpkin in a striped scarf under HELLO FALL, then holds a pumpkin pie in a pilgrim hat under THANKFUL. Both fit an autumn week, with more leaves among the fall coloring pages and a table full of food in the Thanksgiving coloring pages.
• Christmas and winter: Bluey hangs a bauble on the tree, wears reindeer antlers beside a little tree, holds a big present in a Santa hat under MERRY CHRISTMAS and hugs a snowman under LET IT SNOW. For more of December, open the snowman coloring pages or the Christmas coloring pages.
• Easter: Bluey carrying her painted eggs in a basket through a patch of daisies, a good match for the Easter coloring pages on an April weekend.
• Valentine's Day: Bluey hugging a big heart-shaped balloon, which pairs with the heart coloring pages.

In Australia, Christmas falls in summer, and the show's Christmas episodes are full of heat and backyard swims. A child who knows that might enjoy giving the snowman page a joke ending, with a sun and a paddling pool drawn in the corner.

Easy Bluey coloring sheets for toddlers, busier heeler scenes for big kids

Toddlers do best with Bluey alone and almost nothing behind her. One puppy and one prop (a bubble wand, a giant donut, a teddy bear or a soccer ball) makes a short job, and pressing Quick to color lines those single-heeler sheets up first:

• Bluey giving herself a hug
• Bluey face with rosy cheeks
• Bluey's big happy face

Older kids usually want the scenes with several heelers, a market stall full of fruit, a classroom table with trays and a paper lantern, or the Gnome Garden with its row of garden gnomes. Scenes thick with fences, flowers and furniture take a whole afternoon, and Lots of detail sorts those packed heeler pages to the front:

• Five pups cheering around a balloon
• The heeler family in the garden
• Bandit and the puppies at the playground

For a toddler who wants more of the same big, easy shapes, the preschool coloring pages gather big, simple subjects from across the site.

Bluey birthday coloring pages for a party

Planning a Bluey birthday party? Start with the sheet of Bluey blowing out the candles on her cake, or the one where she cheers in a party hat under HAPPY BIRTHDAY, then add the balloon pages and the tea party.

1. Press Add to pack on the birthday cake, the balloons and the tea party.
2. Get the whole pack as one PDF, then print a set for every guest.
3. Staple each set into a little Bluey coloring book for the party bags.

Slide a finished tea party sheet into a clear plastic pocket and it turns into a juice-proof place mat. Banners and more cakes for the table can come from a few happy birthday coloring pages.

The pack stays in your browser while you browse, so you can mix in pages from other shows a Bluey fan watches, such as Peppa Pig coloring pages or Paw Patrol coloring pages, or real puppies from the dog coloring pages. The character coloring pages bring every cartoon on the site together.

Bluey sheets on A4 or US Letter paper

The heeler scenes are wide lawns, skies and living rooms in plain outline, so a week of Bluey costs very little ink. Every download is a 300 dpi A4 PDF, at no cost. A4 paper takes it at 100 percent; a US Letter tray wants fit to page, and both of Bluey's pointed ears still clear the edge. Gather the week's heelers into one file with the Add to pack buttons, and if that scaling option is hard to spot, our printing guide goes through the usual menus one by one.
