Coco Wyo coloring books
Every book at a glance, the three difficulty lines, the edition to look for, and what to color them with. Written for someone choosing, not for the brand.
Coco Wyo is the name behind the cozy coloring book: round animals in small kitchens, bedrooms and cafés, thick outlines, and large areas that fill in an evening rather than a week. The team describes itself as a small group of artists, colorists, editors and marketers, and every book is drawn by hand, sketched in pen and then cleaned up on a tablet so the lines print sharp.
The books look alike at a glance, and that is the problem when buying one. They come in three levels of detail, some titles exist in two different editions, and the paper changes with the printer. This page sorts that out, then gets to the coloring itself. It is checked against Coco Wyo’s own catalog and answers, and it is not written or paid for by them.

How to Draw Patterns, Coco WyoBook
A drawing book rather than a coloring book: a full-color, step-by-step guide to drawing patterns into your pages. 112 pages at 8.5 by 11 inches.
The three lines, and which one fits you
Coco Wyo sorts its books by how much there is to color, and the line matters more than the title. It is the difference between a page you finish before dinner and one you come back to all week. The line is printed on the cover, just under the title, so it can be read straight off a listing.
- Bold & Easy is the simplest: big shapes, few small areas, about half an hour a page. Cozy & Cute, Stress Relief, Hygge Place, Ocean Scene and Comfy Patterns belong here. It is the line for someone who says they cannot color, for a child old enough to stay inside a line, or for a tired evening.
- Cute & Comfy is the middle and the one most people mean by Coco Wyo: Cozy Friends, Cozy Corner, Cozy Cuties, Little Corner, Comfy Days, The Little Cat, Girl Moments and Spooky Cutie Vol. 2. An hour or two a page, with enough clutter in each room to keep going and nothing too small for a felt tip.
- Classic is the detailed end, with titles such as Pocket World, Relaxing Corner and Fairy Beauties. Three hours or more a page, and the one to give someone who already finished a Cute & Comfy book.
A fourth format sits apart: the mini coloring books, 3 by 3.5 inches, made for five or ten minutes in a bag or at a desk. They are sold only on TikTok Shop in the United States for now.
Two editions of the same book
This is the part that catches buyers out. Coco Wyo publishes most books itself through Amazon, and some titles also come out from Penguin Random House in a new edition. The two are not the same object:
- The edition printed by Amazon is listed as independently published, at 8.5 by 8.5 inches: 88 pages for a Cute & Comfy book (40 drawings) and 110 pages for a Bold & Easy one (52 drawings). The paper is around 80 to 90 gsm and the cover glossy. Fine for pencils, thin for markers.
- The Penguin Random House edition is listed under Random House Books for Young Readers, in the Cozy Spaces Coloring series: 96 pages at 8 by 8 inches, on thicker paper, with a textured cover. It is also the one a bookstore can order.
Cozy Friends exists in both, and so does Spooky Cutie; the shelf above links the edition printed by Amazon for those two. If you plan to use markers, or the book is a gift, look at the listing before buying: 96 pages and 8 by 8 inches means the thicker paper. The Cozy Spaces titles so far are Cozy Cuties, Cozy Corner, Cozy Days, Cozy Vibes, Cozy Christmas, Cozy Season, Cozy Cafe, Comfy Corner, Cozy Capybara and Otterly Cute!, with new editions of Cozy Friends and Girl Moments Vol. 1 in the same partnership.
A third version exists for a handful of titles: spiral-bound, on paper thicker than the Amazon paperbacks, often with a sticker set. Spiral binding lets the book lie flat or fold back on itself, which helps more than it sounds on a small table.
What to color them with
Every Coco Wyo page is printed on one side only, so whatever comes through lands on the back of the sheet, not on another drawing. The pages are not perforated, but a single-sided page cuts out cleanly with scissors or a craft knife along the spine.
- Colored pencils are the safe choice on every edition, and the only one that needs nothing behind the page. The colored pencils page covers which sets are worth it.
- Alcohol and water-based markers give the flat, even color these pages are drawn for, but slip a sheet of card or scrap paper behind the page first, on every edition. The markers page explains the difference between the two.
- Acrylic paint markers suit the Bold & Easy books best: opaque, solid color on large areas, the look you see on finished pages online. They need the thicker paper, or a sheet behind.
- Gel pens are for the small things: a highlight in an eye, the steam on a cup, the pattern on a cushion. Coco Wyo advises a sheet behind the page for them too.
Guangna acrylic paint markers, 240 colorsMarkers
Opaque acrylic ink through a brush tip that goes from 1 mm to 6 mm, for the flat solid color that bold-and-easy pages look best in and a felt tip cannot match. They need weight under them: a single-sided book page or 120 gsm paper, not ordinary copy paper.
Opaque brush-tip acrylic for flat, solid color on bold pages.
Ohuhu alcohol markers, 120 colorsMarkers
The set that comes up most often in coloring groups. Alcohol ink dries flat with no streaks and blends where two colors meet. It goes through paper thinner than 120 gsm, so pair it with heavier paper or a single-sided book.
How to make a cozy page look finished
The pages are easy to fill and surprisingly easy to make look flat, because everything is the same weight. A few habits change that.
- Pick four or five colors before you start, and repeat them around the page. A cozy room looks cozy because the cushion, the mug and the curtain share a color, not because each one is different.
- Give the light a direction. Decide where the lamp or the window is, and make everything on that side a shade lighter. Half the “how did they do that” effect comes from this alone.
- Color the background last, and darker. A wall or a floor one step darker than the furniture pushes everything else forward.
- Leave the white where light hits. A small uncolored spot on a cheek, a teapot or a window pane reads as a reflection.
Many finished pages online fill plain areas, a rug, a wall, a dress, with small patterns. That is what Coco Wyo’s own How to Draw Patterns book teaches: a full-color, step-by-step guide to drawing them into the empty spaces. Stripes, dots and small checks are the easy start, drawn with a fine pen over a color that is already down.
Where to buy Coco Wyo books
- Amazon carries most of the catalog, in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Italy and other countries.
- Bookstores can carry the Penguin Random House titles, so that is the edition to ask for in a shop.
- TikTok Shop, in the United States only, sells the spiral-bound editions and the mini books.
- Digital editions exist as PDF downloads, to print at home or to color in a drawing app.
Free coloring pages in the same style
Coco Wyo posts a few free pages in the Freebies section of its own site. For more, ours are free to print, drawn to the same cozy brief, and grouped by subject: cozy coloring pages for rooms and small everyday scenes, capybaras, kawaii characters, bedrooms, food, and friendly ghosts for the Spooky Cutie mood. They are not Coco Wyo drawings, and this site is not affiliated with Coco Wyo.
For the rest of the shelf, from detailed adult books to color by number, the best adult coloring books page covers what comes after.

Coco Wyo questions
Who is Coco Wyo?
A small team of artists, colorists, editors and marketers who make cozy coloring books, best known for Cozy Friends, Cozy Corner and Spooky Cutie. Their books are sold on Amazon in many countries, and several titles are also published by Penguin Random House.
Are Coco Wyo coloring books hand-drawn?
Yes. Coco Wyo says every book is drawn entirely by its in-house artists: pen sketches on paper first, then clean line work on a drawing tablet so the outlines print crisp.
Which Coco Wyo book should I start with?
A Bold & Easy book if you are new to coloring, a Cute & Comfy one if you want a little more to do. Cozy Friends is the classic first purchase in the second group. The Classic line, with the densest pages, is the one to keep for later.
Can I use markers in Coco Wyo books?
Yes, with a sheet behind the page. The pages are printed on one side only, so bleed-through cannot ruin another drawing, but alcohol and water-based markers, acrylic markers and gel pens can still mark the page below. Colored pencils and crayons need no protection.
What is the difference between the Amazon and the Penguin Random House editions?
Paper, size and page count. The editions printed by Amazon are 8.5 by 8.5 inches, 88 or 110 pages, on paper around 80 to 90 gsm with a glossy cover. The Penguin Random House editions, in the Cozy Spaces Coloring series, are 8 by 8 inches and 96 pages, on thicker paper with a textured cover. Some titles, such as Cozy Friends, exist in both.
Where can I buy Coco Wyo coloring books in a store?
Only the Penguin Random House titles reach bookstores, such as Cozy Cuties, Cozy Corner, Cozy Days, Cozy Vibes, Cozy Christmas, Comfy Corner and the new edition of Cozy Friends, depending on the shop. Everything else is sold online, mostly on Amazon.
Are there free Coco Wyo coloring pages?
A few, on their own site, in the Freebies section. If you want more in the same style, our cozy coloring pages are free to print. They are drawn to the same brief but are not Coco Wyo, and the site is not affiliated with them.
