Botanical rather than cartoon
Petals overlap the way they do on a real flower, leaf veins run to the edge, and a pine looks like a pine rather than a green triangle. That gives a page more places for a second and third color, and it makes the sheets usable in a science lesson as well as at a kitchen table.
Which nature coloring pages are the most relaxing
The dense ones: a full page of scattered leaves, a forest floor of mushrooms, a spider web strung between branches. They have no single focal point, so you can pick a corner and work outwards without deciding anything. It is the same reason people reach for a mandala.
How to color a page that is nothing but leaves
Pick three colors and repeat them deliberately rather than giving every leaf its own. On an autumn page, yellow across the whole leaf first, then orange from the edges inwards, then a little red at the tips only. Working light to dark on the same leaf gives the blend without needing to blend anything.

Are the plants botanically correct?
Close enough to identify. Petal counts, leaf shapes and growth habits are right for the named species; what gets simplified is the fine texture that would print as grey mush at coloring size.
