Brainrot Coloring Pages

If a child has recently started shouting "Tralalero Tralala" at breakfast, this is the collection for them. These brainrot coloring pages draw the Italian brainrot characters that took over school playgrounds, plus a crowd of new hybrids in the same spirit, each one as absurd as the last.

The famous ones come first. Tralalero Tralala, the shark who walks on three legs in sneakers, strolls along a beach at low tide and turns up again in a knitted scarf in the snow. Bombardino Crocodilo, the crocodile with airplane wings, flies above the clouds and then rests in a hammock between two palm trees. Ballerina Cappuccina dances on one toe on a marble step with a frothy cappuccino for a head. Tung Tung Tung Sahur, the wooden log with long thin arms, sits on a doorstep at sunrise. Lirili Larila, the cactus elephant in sandals, crosses the desert and then waters a row of seedlings. Chimpanzini Bananini peels a banana from inside his own banana. Brr Brr Patapim strides through the forest on long legs, Frigo Camelo waits by a desert well with a refrigerator for a body, Boneca Ambalabu sits on a car tire in a puddle, and Bombombini Gusini floats on a lake with jet engines on its wings.

Then the new hybrids, made for this collection: a fish with a cat's head paddling in a rock pool, a cow with the head of a moth, a bathtub on duck feet, an octopus in mismatched boots, a cactus in sunglasses on a deck chair, a snail with a teapot for a shell, a crocodile with a pineapple body, a hippo floating on balloons, a banana helicopter, a toaster on chicken feet, a whale with wings above the rooftops, a crab with teacups for claws, a bird with a lightbulb body, and a coffee cup and a banana sharing a park bench. A doodle pattern page fills every corner with small characters and swirls.

What "brainrot" means, and why kids love it

"Brainrot" is internet slang for silly, low-effort content that sticks in your head whether you want it to or not. It was chosen as the Oxford word of the year for 2024. In early 2025 a wave of short videos introduced Italian brainrot: made-up creatures, half animal and half object, each announced by a narrator in rhythmic fake Italian. The names are nonsense rhymes that roll off the tongue, and that is exactly why children repeat them.

Parents sometimes worry about it, but the characters themselves are harmless and very drawable, and there is something useful underneath: every one of them is a mash-up of two things that do not belong together. That is the oldest creative game there is.

Colors are up to you, and that is the fun

There are no official colors for most of these characters, so there are no wrong answers. A few conventions help if a child wants theirs to look like the videos:

• Tralalero Tralala is a blue-gray shark with a white belly, usually in blue sneakers.
• Bombardino Crocodilo is a green crocodile with gray metal airplane wings.
• Ballerina Cappuccina has a pink tutu and a cup of brown coffee with white foam.
• Tung Tung Tung Sahur is light wood brown.
• Lirili Larila is cactus green with brown sandals.
• Chimpanzini Bananini is a brown chimp in a yellow banana.

For the new hybrids, the rule is simple: color each half as its real thing. The cat half of the fish gets fur colors, the fish half gets scales; the toaster is silver, the chicken feet are yellow. The contrast is what makes the joke land.

Easy creatures and busy scenes

The collection spreads fairly evenly from simple to busy. The easiest pages keep one character large with a little ground around it, which suits a child of five or six who already knows the names. Quick to color, above the grid, starts with:

The densest are the scenes with a whole setting behind the character, the rooftops under the flying whale, the beach under the pineapple crocodile, and the doodle pattern page. Lots of detail opens on:

Invent a brainrot character

The best use of this collection is to make one more. Put two pieces of paper in two bowls: one with animals (shark, goose, frog, cat, camel, elephant), the other with objects (sneaker, teapot, toaster, cactus, balloon, lightbulb). Each child draws one of each, then invents the character that joins them, draws it and gives it a name. The name must rhyme or repeat, and it must sound Italian, even if it is not.

Use the finished pages as a gallery: pin the originals from this collection on one side and the invented characters on the other, and let the class vote for the most ridiculous.

Printing a brainrot stack

The PDFs are free and sized for A4 at 300 dpi: full size on an A4 printer, "fit to page" on a US Letter one, which trims about six percent and not a single sneaker.
