About these Hulk coloring pages
Updated October 2026
Kids who love the strongest Avenger will find him here at his loudest and at his gentlest. These Hulk coloring pages show the big green hero smashing, lifting and leaping, but also planting a tree and napping in the grass, and all of them print for free.
What the Hulk does in this collection:
- Hulk smash: lifting a giant boulder, smashing the ground with both fists, roaring with his fists clenched.
- Hero moments: holding up a bus so people can step off safely, carrying a fallen tree trunk through the forest.
- Big leaps: jumping between cliffs, leaping over rooftops, standing on a mountain in the rain.
- Quiet Hulk: napping under a tree with a bird on his back, watching the sunset, planting a tree with a shovel.
- Holiday Hulk for Christmas, Halloween and Valentine's Day.
Who is the Incredible Hulk?
The Incredible Hulk first appeared in a Marvel comic book in May 1962, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He is the other side of Bruce Banner, a brilliant scientist who was caught in the blast of a gamma bomb. Ever since, when Bruce gets angry, he turns into a huge, green, almost unstoppable giant.
Fun fact: in his very first comic, the Hulk was gray, not green. The printers had trouble keeping the gray even from page to page, so from the second issue on he became the green giant everybody knows.
Over the years the Hulk has had many looks. In some stories he is a savage, angry giant who can barely speak; in others he keeps Bruce's mind and talks like a scientist in a giant's body, a version fans call Smart Hulk, seen in Avengers: Endgame (2019). The drawings here show the classic, cheerful green giant, somewhere in between.
The Hulk is one of the founding Avengers and fights next to Iron Man, Captain America and Thor in the films. The Avengers coloring pages put him back with his whole team.
Bruce Banner
Bruce Banner himself appears in a portrait, in a torn shirt, just before or just after a transformation. A good way to use it: color Bruce with a normal skin tone, then flip to a Hulk page and color the same pose in green.
Another scene keeps a little of the scientist inside the giant: the Hulk sitting in a lab next to a microscope.
How to color the Hulk
The Hulk is mostly one big color, which makes him a great page for learning to fill large areas evenly:
- Skin: bright green. Two greens look even better: a light one for the chest and face, a darker one along the sides of the arms and legs.
- Hair: black or very dark green.
- Shorts: purple, torn at the edges. In the comics they are what is left of Bruce's trousers.
- Eyes: green or plain white, depending on how angry he is.
Making his muscles pop
- Color the whole body in light green.
- With the darker green, trace a band along the inside of each muscle line, on the arms, chest and legs.
- Leave the very top of the shoulders and knuckles light, where the light hits.
The result looks round and strong instead of flat, and it works with markers as well as colored pencils.
Gray Hulk, red Hulk, or your own
Because the Hulk started out gray, a gray Hulk is a real piece of Marvel history, not a mistake. There is also a Red Hulk in the comics, a different character with the same size and the same temper. Children can pick one, or invent their own: an orange Hulk, a striped Hulk, a rainbow Hulk. Write the name of the new Hulk under the drawing, and the page becomes a small comic of its own.
Strong Hulk coloring pages for little superheroes
The most popular Hulk scenes are the ones where he uses his strength. He lifts a boulder bigger than himself above a rocky shore, smashes the ground so it cracks under his fists, and roars with sound waves behind his head.
He also uses his strength to help. He holds up a bus while the passengers step off, carries a whole tree trunk on his shoulders, and stands guard on top of a rock pillar above the clouds.
Kids who love strong heroes will find more in the superhero coloring pages, the Spider-Man coloring pages and the Batman coloring pages.
A gentle giant: Hulk in nature
Not every page is about smashing. The Hulk catches a fish with his bare hands in a river, plants a young tree with a shovel, and walks on the sea floor between fish and coral, which goes well with the ocean coloring pages and the fish coloring pages.
He also naps, under a tree with a little bird sitting on his back, and in the grass with butterflies flying above him. These calm pages are good at bedtime, and kids who like them may also enjoy the butterfly coloring pages.
Christmas and Halloween Hulk coloring pages
For December, the Hulk wears a Santa hat and carries a present, puts the star on top of a Christmas tree and stands next to a little snowman. They fit right into the Christmas coloring pages, next to the snowman coloring pages and the winter coloring pages.
In October he carves a jack o'lantern and goes trick or treating in a witch hat with a pumpkin bucket, ready for the Halloween coloring pages. In February he hugs a giant heart, a sweet card for the Valentine's Day coloring pages.
Easy Hulk drawings for preschoolers
Most Hulk pages here have one big figure and a simple background, which makes them easy for small hands. Quick to color puts the plainest Hulk drawings first:
- Hulk Jumping Between Cliffs
- Hulk Standing on a Mountain in the Rain
- Bruce Banner Portrait
The docks full of crates and the rooftops he leaps over take more time. Lots of detail brings those Hulk scenes to the front:
- Hulk Sitting on Crates at the Docks
- Hulk Leaping Over the Rooftops
A Hulk smash party
- Print a Hulk for every guest, a mix of strong and funny poses.
- Give everyone two greens, a purple and a black.
- When the pages are done, have a "Hulk pose" contest: each child copies the pose of their drawing, and the others guess which page it is.
- Tape the pages together into a Hulk wall.
Getting the Hulk onto paper
Every Hulk downloads as an A4 PDF drawn at 300 dpi, at no cost. He often fills the sheet from edge to edge, so on US Letter the fit to page setting saves his fists and feet. To print several at once, collect them with Add to pack and download one file; the printing guide shows the steps for each browser.
Hulk Coloring Pages: questions and answers
Are these Hulk drawings from Marvel?
No. Every Hulk here is an original fan drawing made for this site, and neither Marvel Studios nor Disney had a hand in them or endorses them.
Was the Hulk always green?
No. He was gray in his first comic in 1962, but the printers struggled to keep the gray consistent, so Marvel made him green from the second issue on.
Is Bruce Banner in the Hulk pages?
Yes. Bruce Banner appears in a portrait wearing a torn shirt, and the Hulk sits in a lab next to a microscope, a nod to Bruce the scientist.
What color are the Hulk's shorts?
Purple, torn at the edges. They are the remains of Bruce Banner's trousers after he transforms.
Does the Hulk celebrate Christmas in these pages?
Yes. He wears a Santa hat with a present, puts the star on a Christmas tree and stands behind a little snowman.
