About these Belle coloring pages
Updated October 2026
Belle is the princess who would rather read than rule, and kids love her for it. These Belle coloring pages follow her from her village to the Beast's castle, in her famous yellow ball gown and in her simple blue dress, and every page prints for free.
In this collection, Belle:
- dances with the Beast in the ballroom, holds his hands in the garden and throws snowballs with him;
- reads and dreams: by a fountain, on a library ladder, curled up in an armchair with a cup of tea;
- meets the castle's enchanted objects: Lumiere the candelabra, Cogsworth the clock, Mrs. Potts and Chip;
- spends time with her father Maurice, hugging him and helping with one of his inventions;
- celebrates the holidays, from Halloween to Christmas, Easter and her birthday.
Beauty and the Beast, the story behind the pages
Beauty and the Beast is a French fairy tale, best known from the version Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont published in 1756. Disney turned it into an animated film in 1991, the first animated movie nominated for the Oscar for Best Picture, and into a live action film with Emma Watson in 2017.
Belle lives in a small French village with her father Maurice, an inventor. When Maurice is locked up in the Beast's castle, Belle takes his place. The Beast is a prince under a spell, which will only break if he learns to love and is loved in return before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose.
That rose has its own page: Belle and the rose under a glass dome, with petals drifting down. Another shows the end of the story, Belle dancing with the prince the Beast becomes once the spell is broken.
Belle and the Beast coloring pages
The Beast appears with Belle in several scenes. They dance in the ballroom under a crystal chandelier, the most famous moment of the film. They hold hands in a garden full of flowers, and in winter they face each other in the snow with a snowball in hand, a nod to the snowball fight from the movie.
The Beast's colors are a brown mane and fur, curved horns, a blue jacket with gold trim for the ball and a dark cape. Belle's ball gown should be golden yellow, with a slightly darker yellow for the folds of the skirt.
Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts
The castle servants were turned into household objects by the same spell, and three of them have pages with Belle:
- Lumiere, the cheerful candelabra, stands beside Belle in the castle hall. Color him in gold with yellow flames.
- Cogsworth, the nervous mantel clock, makes Belle laugh. He is brown wood with a gold clock face.
- Mrs. Potts the teapot and her son Chip, the little teacup with a chip in his rim, share a table with Belle in the kitchen. Both are white china with blue and gold patterns.
These pages are a great way to talk about the film while coloring: who was each object before the spell? In the 1991 film the answer stays a secret until the very end, when the objects turn back into people: Lumiere becomes a slim maître d', Cogsworth a round little butler and Mrs. Potts a kind housekeeper. Kids can draw the human version on the back of the page.
Belle in her village and in the library
Before the castle, Belle is a village girl in a blue dress with a white apron and a blue bow in her hair. She walks down a cobbled street with a basket of apples, carries a book along a forest path, and rides her horse through the woods in a cape. Horse lovers will find more riders and ponies in the horse coloring pages.
Books are her great love. She reads on the edge of a fountain among roses, and sits on a tall ladder between the shelves of the castle library, the gift that the Beast gives her in the film. Kids who love reading can color her book in their favorite color and write its title on the cover.
Belle's yellow gown or blue dress?
Both are right. The blue dress belongs to the village scenes and the yellow gown to the castle and the ball. On pages where she wears the full skirt, use yellow; on pages with the apron, go for blue and white.
Belle coloring pages for Halloween, Christmas and Easter
Belle carves a jack o'lantern on a wooden stool, and dresses as a little witch with a broom and a pumpkin basket under the moon. Both belong in the Halloween coloring pages stack.
In winter, she feeds birds beside a snowman, waves from a snowy castle balcony, wears a Santa hat with a present and puts a star on a little tree. Add them to the Christmas coloring pages, the snowman coloring pages and the winter coloring pages.
For spring, Belle carries painted Easter eggs in a wicker basket for the Easter coloring pages, wears a flower crown and picks flowers next to a butterfly, which sits well with the flower coloring pages. In February she hugs a heart balloon, perfect next to the Valentine's Day coloring pages.
Easy and detailed Belle pages
Belle hugging a heart balloon, petting a lamb or looking out the window keeps the background simple. The lamb scene is a sweet extra for kids who also love the sheep coloring pages. Quick to color puts these lighter Belle pages first:
- Belle Hugging a Heart Balloon
- Belle Looking Out the Window
- Belle in a Santa Hat with a Present
The garden swing, the tea by the fire and Maurice's machine full of gears have many more small spaces. Lots of detail collects them for older kids:
- Belle on a Library Ladder
- Belle and the Beast Dancing in the Ballroom
- Belle Walking Through the Village
For children who love princesses, the princess coloring pages, the Frozen coloring pages and the Moana coloring pages keep the story going. The enchanted rose leads naturally to the rose coloring pages.
A Beauty and the Beast tea party
Belle's world is full of tea cups, roses and books, which makes an easy theme for a birthday:
- Print Belle with Mrs. Potts and Chip, the ballroom dance, the enchanted rose and the birthday cake page.
- Set out yellow, blue, brown and gold markers.
- Serve tea or juice in small cups, the way the enchanted objects serve dinner at the castle.
- Give each guest a colored rose page to take home.
Getting Belle's ball gown onto paper
Every sheet is an A4 PDF at 300 dpi, ready to download at no cost. The wide ball gowns often reach the bottom margin, so on US Letter the fit to page option saves the hem of the skirt. For a whole party set, collect the pages in your Add to pack list and download a single file. The printing guide explains the settings in each browser.
